Song of the Eastern Sands: DELAY (and Pajamas)
Sorry folks, but we need to take a week off! A hectic summer work schedule has hit Jerome pretty hard (you’ll probably see why in a matter of a month or two), but the downside to this is that it has made it difficult to produce pages at the weekly rate. We’ll be back next week with the next page, though!
Because there’s no page this week, I’ll share some fun guest art that was posted to one of Rachel’s art streams (keep an eye on her Tumblr for future stream dates and times).
It started when Jerijune drew an image of (GASP!) an Ermehn wearing pants instead of a kilt. Sacrilege, I know!
After looking at this, I remarked that adapting the tartan design directly to pants made it look more like an Ermehn wearing flannel pajamas. Jerome, who was sitting in on the stream, decided to run with that — he doodled Cain and Yurk wearing pajamas, including a stylized Beck onesie with a suitably massive mouth:
By now, everybody was having a grand old time in the stream chat. Veigue dropped in with Ashtor and Kenosh donning appropriately silly PJs:
Everyone was laughing! Everyone was having a great time! Then Saraa dropped in with the most epic of record-scratching “stop the music” moments. “GUYS I DREW CLOVIS WEARING PAJAMAS.”
Uh oh!

I should be thinking about the delay, but I’m not bothered by it, so my thoughts keep going to the PJs. The funny part is I can’t even say I’m surprised that it happened.
Thanks Fourth :) With the workload I have at the moment, I couldn’t make this week’s deadline, and that annoys me a bit. In the meantime, have some PJs :D
Every update is a good update, but this one was an excellent update! Look at Clovis rocking that pijama! I bet Caldus, Kraith and Feyn are so jealous!

I’m still surprised that a black hole didn’t happen when I drew the Ermehn in pants.
also my Photoshop crashed twice and it lagged the entire time I was drawing the dreaded Ermehn in pants. damn you, Tesque!
plus the cast in PJs! especially Clovis. I laughed until my stomach was hurting at that one… God, I love the Salmon Party.

Meanwhile look what you guys did to me? I’ve been listening to a particular soundtrack and I… I think I’m going to make a “Songs of the Eastern Sands” feature perhaps before the end of this year. Well until the comic finishes first of course but it is possible!
I found the right soundtracks to fit in the situation, I’m really digging it. It’s only a matter of finding the right voice actors…! XX3
Also, Rook’s my favourite of the cast so far, even though everyone else is just as great. Don’t kill off Rook otherwise I’ll be one very sad fan.
I too am sad to have missed such a wonderful party. However, I do feel hopeful that there’ll be even more in the near future!
Your dedication to the webcomic is admirable and I look forward to the next installment of your fanworks, as well as sharing the wish of the polecat ferret man not dying.
