The Scholar and the Seawal: Page 5
It’s the Seawal! The Seawal saved the lutren! One of the things that I wanted to do with this story was to try and explain something everyday and commonplace as all good fables try to do. In this case, it was to try and tell the creation myth of the lutren and how night and day came to be at the same time.
I’ve been absolutely loving Jayelle’s take on Isa’s personal drawing style. She does seem to love that red color for important things — but there’s a LOT of important stuff happening in these pages, so it makes sense!
I have family visiting this week, so I don’t have much else to add. Enjoy the page, and we’ll see you next week!
Cool! So they don’t believe it’s a vicious monster out for their blood.
Nice twist.
I am loving this too. Too bad it’s only, what, ten or twelve pages?
“She does seem to love that red color for important things”
All Isa’s other crayons fell in the sea.
This will be my favorite comment of the week.
Well, at least its not eating them:
