Chapter 3: Page 74
And Rook gets +1 Inspiration for remembering Kenosh’s name!
Rachel and I were having a laugh about Beck’s dialogue here. I was mentioning how when I play any campaign of Dungeons and Dragons, I forget all the names, places, and important objects that are relevant to the campaign. Other people are writing them down, but I’m just there having a good time, usually playing as a character that wouldn’t remember these things anyway. When I need to remember something important, I’ll just start talking as other players fill in the necessary details. Rachel admitted that she was guilty of the same.
So yeah, Beck is basically us when we’re playing D&D. “Forget the fine details, I’m just along for the ride!”
Speaking of missing the fine details, if you missed our Kickstarter campaign, no worries! We’re going to be taking additional orders for a limited time, and you’ll be able to do so by heading to our BACKERKIT PRE-ORDER PAGE!
For a limited time, you’ll be able to order items from the Kickstarter that you might have missed or, if you did pledge and wanted some extras that weren’t in your bundle (or if you wanted multiples of certain items) you’ll be able to indulge!
If you did pledge to the campaign, you can choose to add items together in your post-campaign survey, which we’ll start sending out hopefully in the next week or two.
Man, poor Janik.
Probably thinks Quin and Dakkan are dead and rotting outside Deltrada’s walls.
Well, at least she and Mitra are in good hands at the moment. Still, I predict a hell raising escape from Cenolau with Canid troops in hot pursuit.
Oh, yikes, you’re right! She probably figures our intrepid heroes are either dead or about to be tortured to death. Which, to be fair, is pretty much what was going to happen. Of course Janik probably didn’t count on Tosch being dumb enough to leave them a digging implement.
On top of that, being (compared to Quin and Dak) fairly politically savvy, she’s probably also being hit with the realization of what this means for Sunsgrove and the rest of the kingdoms.
She doesn’t have any idea of what happened there. It would be a good assumption that Kenosh had plans for how to get himself *and* Dak and Quin out of there. Of course, all those plans went out the window when Hardin attacked early, but Janik doesn’t know anything about *that* either.
Of course, she doesn’t know anything about how or why Kenosh would have killed General Gah-I-can’t-remember-names-any-more-than-Beck. Surely Kenosh wasn’t planning anything of the sort! Right? But then why would the General put Kenosh in a life or death situation like that? It doesn’t make any sense at all!
As for whether they’re safe or not, Kenosh knows how to take care of himself, and Quin, despite all appearances, is a master scout who if nothing else can get himself out of danger, this being a major part of the scout job description. Dak… Well, he has enough sense to stick with Quin. Hopefully.
In any case, I expect that the canid will be howling about how not only was their general killed, but somehow every single member of the party from Sunsgrove escaped. Clearly Sunsgrove planned this, sending such skilled assassins!
Yeah, that fat ringtail of a king really knows how to pick his ambassadors lol.
Wouldn´t it be wiser on Mitra´s part to try and reach out to the local Magistrate, or if existing a local Garrison for protection? She a Government Official if I remember correctly.
I mean, Cenolau is in Vulpine terretory. So the Canids can not act freely while there. Hense they had to lure them into an isolated area within the Town to try and kill the two.
They’re actually in Nessa.
Or not
Poor Beck. Tossed into a campaign centered around politics when she can never remember the names of any of the important NPCs.
“Yes, that” made me laugh. It translated to me as “Uh, yeh. Whatever bro” :D
Roooooooook
