Chapter 3: Page 85
Tosch really thought he’d pinned Quin, I guess! He was quite the showman, bringing that bolt they yanked out of Quin’s arm down into the dungeons to serve as a prop (and of course that led to the prisoners’ escape, so he must be feeling a bit embarrassed about that). But hey, if knocking out a guard who’s beating your best friend to death automatically makes you part of the plot, maybe you’re just destined to be part of the plot.
For those following video gaming news, you might have seen that the studio where I work, ArenaNet, recently suffered a round of major layoffs. Fortunately, I was not among those who lost their job, and I am continuing to spend my days working on Guild Wars 2. It’s been a pretty devastating week all the same, and the impending layoff news was one of the reasons why we didn’t post a page last week. For that, I deeply apologize.
In terms of Kickstarter updates, I’m going to be putting one together for our backers, but here’s the gist!
The bookplates have been printed up, sent to me, and signed. I’ve mailed them off to Rachel, who will finish off the signatures before mailing them back to Make That Thing for inclusion in the bundles and anyone who purchased one through BackerKit.
As for the books? The books are SHIPPED from our printers in China, and en route to the United States on a big ‘ol tanker ship. They’re due to arrive at MTT in five weeks, at which point we’ll have everything we need to start fulfilling orders!
And remember, if you haven’t ordered anything or didn’t participate in the Kickstarter, our BackerKit store is STILL OPEN and you can still order most anything from the Kickstarter a la carte. You can check everything out right here: https://westerndeep.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders
Or maybe they just feared you would punish them without thinking Tosch…
“Getting us to beat his friend near death just so he can join in his plot sounds exactly what a mastermind plotter would do! That perfidious Tamian!”
Darn it Tosch! It’s hard to stay mad at you when you’re so fluffy!
Glad to hear you weren’t one of the ones who lost their jobs at Arena net. I was following that closely, hoping that you would be sparred and I wish you a speedy recovery from this ordeal. Speaking of recovery we will need to see how fast our duo of protagonists are gonna make it back to Sunsgrove. As the fluff general wont rest until his pride is restored. Well thats all for now, see you all on the discord!
Yes, because locking someone up who you suspect might is innocent anyway really convinces them to give you their side of the story.
