Chapter 4: Page 100
Oh wow, this is pretty huge: ONE HUNDRED PAGES! In a chapter already filled already to the brim with thrills/chills, twists/turns, action/mayhem, our cast of on-the-run heroes clearly continues to find themselves on the run as they dash into the triple-digits, but now with one fewer canid soldier in their way (and a new crossbow for Rhosyn to replace the one Rathik so rudely tore apart in his bloodwrath).
A lot of folks have recently migrated over to BlueSky for their social media doomscrolling needs, and we want to let you know that we’re there and on Old Twitter!
At BlueSky, we’re @westerndeep.bsky.social (we actually got in early enough to procure it without the “the”!)
And of course on Old Twitter you can find us at the usual @thewesterndeep handle.
We’ve got some other important links too! Our BigCartel online store is located here, and has all our hardcover books and some other fun Western Deep merch!
Also, War of the Western Deep is up on Steam for Wishlisting, and every single one helps! We’re actually just shy of 1100 Wishlists, which is always nice to show to publishers and say “Hey, we haven’t even started properly marketing this thing and over a thousand people want in.”
Thank you to every single one of our amazing readers and supporters who have helped us get this far–not just with Chapter 4 of course, but with the whole Western Deep story. The story isn’t over by a long shot, and we can’t wait to keep sharing brand-new thrills and chills, twists and turns, and action and mayhem with all of you for a long time to come!
Aw. I think Rhosyn just wants to introduce the canid soldier to the treewalkers. Maybe if she tells him they make great pets, he’ll try to pet one.
Funny thing here is that I actually did character sheets for each of the Sratha-Din using 5e Classes and I had Rhosyn as a Horizon Walker Ranger but seeing this makes me question if I should’ve multiclassed her into either Monk or Rogue.
Here, Treewalky, some yummy dog food for you!
I really wonder, has there ever been any sort of Canid deserters? I kinda want to have a Canid as a major character.
LOL
One thing I’m curious about is if there’ll be a Canid deserter of some sort. I’d love to have a Canid major character that follows the party!
No matter how chaotic the situation anyone with a crossbow immediately wants to shoot Quinlan, poor guy.
*Crossbow bolt flies past*
Quinlan: ‘Wow! That canid almost shot me in the shoulder!’
*Crossbow bolt slams into Quinlan’s shoulder*
Quinlan: ‘AAAAH! NOT MY SHOULDER!!’
Rhosyn: ‘Sorry. Force of habit.’
