Chapter 4: Page 90
Crim’s flexing his captain (and hero) chops here, but the canid patrol definitely doesn’t seem thrilled with the idea of losing the upper hand. While these soldiers may not yet know that war has been declared between their two kingdoms, they do know that the act of harboring ermehn–saying nothing of ermehn fugitives–is a crime in Aisling, and plenty of other canid patrols have “disappeared” ermehn and their sympathizers throughout the Four Kingdoms in areas not explicitly controlled by the canid themselves.
We’re Going on a Kickstarter Hiatus!
Bit of important news for regular followers of the comic: with our Volume 3 Kickstarter finally coming to the forefront in the coming weeks, we’ve decided to focus entirely on readying the Kickstarter campaign materials and getting everything primed for that–and then pushing right into thumbnailing and preproduction on the rest of chapter 4’s pages before we begin posting regular page updates again.
As you can imagine, thumbnailing a page and bringing it all the way to completion in a single week has always proven to be a tricky balancing act, even under the best of circumstances. Recently we’ve been pushing this to two weeks, to accommodate other projects like the Kickstarter and War of the Western Deep, but there’s simply nothing quite like being able to sit down and plan out an entire sequence start to finish–and that’s a luxury we haven’t been afforded in a long time.
To that end, we’ll be spending the next few months focusing on Kickstarter updates and the Kickstarter launch, the campaign itself, and then a period of time beyond that where updates may be scarce here for a bit, but new thumbnails will be in production for the remainder of Chapter 4.
We’ll be sharing regular updates on our social media page (which you can find and follow here), and you can get ready for more updates about the next Kickstarter campaign soon–we’ll have the launch date announcement here as soon as it’s locked in!
HECK YEAH
GO CRIM! ヽ(*´▽)ノ♪
Great to see Crim step up, but………..this situation is one arrow away from turning into a disaster.
ANY AND ALL GIANT CENTIPEDES: PLEASE ATTACK NOW.
Crim makes the right decision. And his wording makes it pretty clear that Aisling’s imperial ambition and how they treat their allies isn’t exactly a surprise to anyone, if I’m reading it right. (That is to say, at the risk of stating the obvious, the canid are acting like they literally own the place and Crim talks like there’s some history behind that.)
Crim is so cool!
Hey everyone i want to say two things
1I knew crim wasn’t a bad tamian.
2 Rachel Alex Jerome I wish you good luck with your war of western deep project and Kickstarter.
The more things develop, the more it feels like this “peace” following the Treaty of Cenolau has just been appeasement of the Canid the whole time, and it was never going to last because warmongering imperialist powers like that can never be satisfied until they control everything.
Like if they have to “quietly” disappear escaped Ermehn and their protectors in OTHER COUNTRIES then extradition of Ermehn refugees probably wasn’t part of the treaty, and they’re just demanding more and more. The fact that the Canid are committing genocide was always pretty transparent but they just keep looking worse and worse.
Hopefully Crim notices that the canid, by surrounding our heroes, have yet again put themselves in a position where, if they miss their intended targets the crossbowdogs will absolutely be shooting at members of their own squad.
Now all we need is a bunch of nearby Mitras to tackle everyone out of the way at the last second.
Is have Volume 3 or what?
‘…our Volume 3 Kickstarter finally coming to the forefront in the coming weeks…’
All three sides are gonna die or heavily injured from Walkers
I can’t wait for this to be in book form! I truly love this epic story
