Happy Thanksgiving!
No page or story this week! I tried to get the finale chapter of the Meridian Trail story ready for today, but Thanksgiving and family festivities prevented me from getting any real work done.
I hope all our American readers had a great Thanksgiving! Personally, I am thankful for all of you — our wonderful readers, commenters, and friends. It’s been so much fun sharing the world of Western Deep with you, and I hope we’re able to continue doing so for years to come.

We’ve added two new emojis thanks to Jerome Jacinto featuring Cain and Yurk! Check ’em out:
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
So in the USA I often hear that Thanksgiving tends to feature a Huge Turkey Dinner.
The traditional Christmas meal where I live is, likewise a Huge Turkey Dinner.
Does that mean Americans must endure two HTDs a mere month apart?! Your kitchens must be overrun with leftover stuffing and offcut meat sandwiches spilling from every cupboard!!!!
Pretty much! I know I’ve got a was-to-be Thanksgiving turkey now being saved for Christmas.
In my family we always did a Christmas ham to avoid the HTD overdose.
A nice glazed ham is also a good shout. Variety is the spice of life.
As far as I’m concerned the only vital component of a Christmas meal are the tiny sausages.
My mom always made a big homemade pizza for Christmas instead ;]
Now this is an idea I can get behind!
This is the standard operating procedure in my family. We love turkey, so we don’t mind.
Here is the crazy thing: my family’s Christmas meal has been a HTD for longer than I can recall but only last year did it come to light that all of us had a long list of things we would rather eat if we had the choice. Such a lot of effort for a meal we tolerate rather than truly enjoy!
Learn from our failure, good people of the Salmon Party. Do not be slaves to tradition!* Eat what you love on holidays and The Man can go eat rocks.
*Unless like Fourth Master you love turkey then by all means, remain chained.
We don’t get two HTD’s here in Scotland, but i’d quite happily eat two!
I’m skinny but i burn through a LOT of calories, weird metabolism.
I did buy a jar of cranberry sauce yesterday on a whim whilst shopping.
Does that count a little bit? I dunno. Happy thanksgiving to all those over
the pond in the states anyways!! :D
Looking forward to more BWD! Hope everyone in the States with me had a nice holiday.
I’m a little late. But Happy thanksgiving everyone!
Very late, but I hope everyone here had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Definitely will be looking forward for more BtWD this week, but I’m glad you guys can get a break from the constant updates @_@
Man love this picture really for me it also makes the world behind this story seem more deeper
