Beyond the Western Deep

Would you believe that we just launched our Kickstarter campaign for Volume 2 this past Wednesday morning? If this was our first campaign, we’d still be about halfway to our goal, slowly building awareness and support for a comic that was still coming back from a pretty low-key presence in indie comic print.

But this time around? We pulled in nearly $14,000 in our FIRST DAY, getting us tantalizingly close to our $18,000 goal amount before we even had time to breathe. Our next two days were comparatively lighter, but still more than enough to put us over the our initial goal. It took us 17 days to reach our goal with our first Kickstarter. This time, it took less than 72 hours.

As the header image suggests, we were more than a little stunned by the development!

But we’re not nearly finished yet! We’ve got 27 days left on the clock, and a whole bunch of stretch goals that we’re excited to hit! Check ’em out below:

And this isn’t even everything we’re planning to offer! If we hit that first 20k goal, we’ll also be throwing in an EXTRA print: Leah Briere’s adorable piece showing Bevan and Eira hanging out and enjoying a relaxing beverage by the fire.

The pencils for this piece were the very first tier to go during the campaign, which interestingly means that Leah Briere’s original artwork was the first thing to sell out in BOTH Kickstarter campaigns we’ve done!
