Kickstarter Print Preview and Update!
$7,500 and counting! We’re almost at the halfway point, and we’re not even one week into the campaign! Check it out here:

Needless to say, we’re all humbled and honored by your interest in helping to bring our world to life, and we hope that if this campaign is successful, we’re able to continue doing it with future volumes to come.
On the topic of the print, the main image you see at the top of this post is the 5×7″ print that will accompany all hardcover bundles and higher. Rachel has a fun history of inventive prints, including of course the Quin/Hardin/Dakkan image that headlines our Kickstarter, the lutren shark hunter print that has featured so heavily at our conventions in the past, and the “STAND”/”VICTORY” opposing side prints that we brought to conventions in 2016.
The Fire Dancer is our newest print, and right now the only place to get it will be via the Kickstarter campaign.
I’m really quite happy with how this one turned out–the vulpin fire dancer himself is a very intriguing fellow, and like all of Rachel’s crowd shots, I find myself desperately wanting to write background stories for every single character we see in the image. The fire dancer in particular seems like he’s got a cool story behind him!
We’ll be posting a campaign update tomorrow to show off this print, along with some new artist-related pledge tiers that some of you might be interested in checking out.
As we move into day five of our campaign, our goal is to continue to spread awareness to everyone we can, to find as many potential fans as possible. We all encourage you to tell as many potentially interested folks as possible about the campaign!
Again, thank you all so much for your love and support, and let’s keep pushing to get this campaign funded! :)
The amount of excitement in this piece is amazing. I love it.
I also love how all the 7 races were included in it, everyone is having fun.
Is it all seven? No sure I can pick out a polcan anywhere amongst them.
And wouldn’t Pick Out a Polcan make a great theme for a “BWD”-related game show? Or maybe it can be their world’s answer to “Where’s Waldo?”
There are two Polcans. The one with the eye patch, and to the left of him.
There’s your two waldos, haha.
I thought polcan had face mask markings, since they’re modeled off of ferrets. (Think Rook.) I really don’t see any of those here.
They seem distinctly Polcan to me. Plus if they were not Polcan the image would be incomplete (race wise), because every other race is there.
That other fellow is actually an ermehn! c: This one seems to be a little more Nessian in his culture than the nervous little lady in the front, though…
Ah that makes more sense now, either way, there is polcan there after all. Beautifully done btw.
I see someone hiding in the crowd.
The guy with the glasses amuses me far more than he should.
This is an unexpectedly interesting choice of subject matter for the latest print, especially since it doesn’t show any of the main characters, but with the recent shift of the story to a city setting, it fits perfectly. Agree with you 100% about Rachel’s crowd scenes, Alex … including Glasses Guy, of course. He represents the nerd in all of us!
That’s so amazing
Cool Beans. Mont be able to participate in the kickstarter for the foreseeable future, college budget is tight. But if there are any books left over in the store ill save up to pick one up. Good luck.
Not sure if anyone will get this reference but the fire dancer is like the animal version of Dustfinger or Farid
“ I got that reference!”
(Anyone get that reference?) ;)
