Back in the embassy, Beck and Rook seem to have their hands full. The question of just how benevolent a thieving group should be mid-break-in certainly comes to the fore! Not too many tweaks from initial draft to final here, save for a slight orientation shift in the last panel.

This week, I wanted to give a shoutout to a game I’ve been watching for quite a while: Ghost of a Tale (check out the Steam Page here). It’s a third person stealth-adventure RPG that feels like some lost Redwall or Mouse Guard story, pulled from the ether. In actuality, the world and lore present even in this early-access demo version are deeper than most full games I’ve played, and completely unique to this title. If you’re a fan of the world-building we do in the world of Western Deep, you’ll probably really enjoy this game.

Also, similarly to Dust: An Elysian Tail, this game is mostly the work of one man: Lionel Gallat, an ex-Dreamworks animator who worked on films as Prince of EgyptRoad to El Dorado, and Despicable Me. You can tell almost immediately that an expert artist is heading this title when you look at any screenshot or video of the game. The environments, character models, and animations are all brilliant.

This week for guest art, we’ve got some fantabulous crossover art from Jerijune! If you have Netflix, chances are you might be aware of the Voltron reboot that was recently added. It’s really awesome, with fun characters and great animation from Studio Mir (Legend of Korra). Jerijune decided to adapt a wonderful bit from the first episode with some faces more appropriate for this website:

Jerijune is clearly some sort of wizard! I love any and all crossover artwork featuring Western Deep characters — you might recall some classics like crossovers with Pacific Rim and Avatar? Well, this one’s going on the list!

Thank you so much, Jerijune!
