The Abyssal Dunes: Holiday Hiatus 2019!
No new page this week, as I’m at the Kain family homestead and I’m encouraging the Western Deep team to take a well-earned break this holiday as we prep for a big push for the Volume 2 Kickstarter campaign!
In lieu of a new page this week, however, I wanted to share something special, to let you all know that there are some very cool things coming down the line.
First though, I like to take this time of year to reminisce and consider all the things I’m thankful for, since getting stuck in a house in the cold and the snow leads to a lot of introspection, evidently. But I wanted to let you all know that I, along with Rachel, Varuna, Jerome, Leah–all of us who have worked on Western Deep and continue to work on it, trying to build it into something we can keep sharing with more and more people the world over–all of us deeply, to the core of our very beings, deeply appreciate you, our readers.
You have followed our work, left comments to kick off discussions, joined our Discord to converse with other fans of the world, and you’ve helped spread the word of Beyond the Western Deep to new readers the world over.
Thank you all, from all of us.
So, as a Christmas present/tease for all of our wonderful readers, here is a very small snippet of a fun new art piece we’re very excited to share as part of the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for Volume 2.
I will say no more! :)
Have yourselves a wonderful holiday break if you’re celebrating it, and we will see you all next week with a brand new page of The Abyssal Dunes.
Always loved this placeholder page art! But then, there have been several good ones, haven’t there?
Oh, and you’re welcome! But then, following a webcomic as good as this one is its own reward, no?
Happy Holidays, one and all!
And Rodents have been Green Lanterns before. This one’s certainly wilful and the look’s right.
Right back at’cha! I’m amazed at and thankful for how you guys, with incredible devotion, pooled your time and talents to bring this awesome world to life.
And regarding this tiny glimpse of a painting…..Reminds me of something I’ve seen before…could it be? “Hardin Leading the People”? :o It’s about time we get back to his story!
Happy Holidays!
