The Abyssal Dunes: Page 22
Y’know, that molted skin there looks kinda long and spindly, maybe with some creepy legs in creepily high quantity? I’m no giant insect expert, but I’d say it looks remarkably similar to another kind of creature we’ve seen a few times throughout the years. Though maybe a bit smaller? Weird, right?
As I mentioned on my Twitter a day or so ago, the Western Deep creative team is hard at work on the next Kickstarter, putting together some new material for the Volume 2 hardcover, as well as coming up with merch and maybe even a surprise or two beyond that to help build up some interest in the campaign.
We haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet–it’s been a pretty tricky year for us IRL so we’re probably looking to launch the Kickstarter sometime in Q1 of 2020, perhaps even to coincide with our Artist Alley appearance at Emerald City Comic Con in mid-March!
In the meantime, if you missed the first Kickstarter, you can get a sneak peak at some of the merchandise we put together by checking out our TopatoCo shop items! There’s the hardcover Volume 1 right here, and the Quin/Dak enamel pin set right here!
TopatoCo and their Kickstarter management service Make That Thing were great partners in the first Kickstarter, and we’re hoping to go with them again the next time around to make sure all our proverbial bases are covered.
As new details on the second Kickstarter emerge, we will let you know!
This does raise the question, which character would the bugs find to be a tastier meal?
Treewalkers v.s. Tombraiders!
I’ll see myself out.
I like Yurk’s expression, stuck somewhere between disbelief, denial, and fervent hope. It’s funny!
He’s got the right idea on leaving, that molt is staying too together to be ‘ancient’ old.
