It’s a pretty good thing Cain and Yurk, and the catacomb passage they find themselves in, is so small–at least compared to a giant centipede/antlion/bug monster. Having their collective skins (and the integrity of their internal organs) spared by a few well-timed rocks is just the sort of luck that our duo relies on to get through the day.

I know–it’s a miracle they’re still alive.

With the new year in full swing and the holidays well behind us, work has amped up in earnest on our second Kickstarter campaign. The new extras section is getting locked in, printer quotes are being assembled, bonus art is being produced, merch is being designed–all that glorious new stuff!

We’ll be hyping all that stuff up both here and via social media as it all comes together. We haven’t committed to an exact launch date yet, but as I’ve mentioned before, we’re hoping for something around the end of Q1, beginning of Q2.

For guest art this week, I wanted to share some great pieces of artwork we received from reader Lily! Not just of one character, but a huge chunk of the core cast! Including:

Everyone’s favorite extroverted ermehn murderboi Bevan:

Everyone’s favorite white-furred anti-ermehn pupper general, Clovis:

Everyone’s favorite lutren who’s dealing with quite a few personal issues right now, Dakkan:

Everyone’s favorite grumpy noodlegramps, Ashtor:

Everyone’s favorite definitely a straight-up murderer, Hardin:

AND everyone’s favorite tamian who can recite from memory the precise subsection of the legal code explaining why what you’re doing right now is probably illegal, Janik:

Thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful art, Lily! It’s great to see these characters in your style, and thank you for being a loyal reader of Beyond the Western Deep!
