C2E2 and Kickstarter Success!
Quinlan is really excited about that slice of pie! It was actually a little bonus sketch Rachel did in a new reader’s super fun “characters interacting with a slice of pie” sketchbook during our first day here at C2E2.
Oh yeah, that’s right: Rachel and I are in Chicago this weekend tabling at C2E2, Chicago’s biggest comic convention! Here we are this morning, walking onto the main show floor on our way to our table in Artist Alley.

If you’ve been following the campaign, you might have noticed that we not only hit our campaign goal, but we smashed our stretch goal by a healthy margin.
We really had no idea what to expect when we launched this campaign–after all, an orchestral musical album is a far cry from the comics and artwork that our community is used to. But with your help, we were able to take this very important first step to making Music of the Western Deep a reality!
We can’t wait to share project updates with our community as it comes together. And if you missed the campaign, don’t worry: there will be a BackerKit Pre-Order store available with several choice items to order.
