See, isn’t that typical? You’re grabbing some supplies in a small outpost in the middle of the desert, you’re scoping out the cool aviary they’ve got, you’re taking in the sights, you think everything’s going to be fine and that you’re going to be able to just shoot in and out no problem…and then it turns out somebody recognizes you despite your mask?

This has happened to me a couple times since face masks became a regular part of my outgoing wardrobe–somebody will recognize me and then I’ll see them and it’ll take me a bit of time to realize who they are. I’m pretty bad remembering names and faces as it is!

Anyway, this trip through the waystation might be a little more complicated than anyone anticipated!

Except you, right? You probably anticipated that.

For guest art this week, another wonderful piece by reader Shay, who decided to take a new crack at human-ified Western Deep characters! This is a fun little trend going back to some art that Rachel did close to the beginning of the story, but I particularly love seeing other artists take a crack at our cast in human form.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, Quin! I think you and Janik look GREAT! That’s entirely due to Shay’s wonderful interpretations of course.

Thank you so much, Shay! We absolutely love seeing your take on the Western Deep world, and we also love being able to share them with the community at large!

You’ll notice that we switched out some links on the side of the webpage by the way! If you head to our Twitter page, you can @ us with any Western Deep themed artwork you might have that you’d like to share with the readership, or you can email it to us at hello(at)westerndeep(dot)net!
