We’ve spent a very long time hyping the Eastern Deep (or rather, warning about the Eastern Deep), so of course even if Quinlan knows these forests better than most, it probably doesn’t help when somebody’s screaming at the top of their lungs. If you’re detecting a bit of pent-up frustration on Dakkan’s part, you’d probably be right.
I’m pleased to say that production on the Music of the Western Deep album is progressing well, with Nolan Markey providing this sly little update for our backers:
The word before “theme” is rather unsubtly blacked out, but that’s totally on purpose! Whose theme could this be? Is it even a character we’ve introduced properly yet?
No, actually–that’s why we blacked it out!
Now that Nolan is deep in the music writing process for the album, work on the Western Deep, LLC side has moved on to figuring out our next book project. We’re looking forward to having updates here for that soon. Following C2E2 and Rose City Comic Con, it was clear that folks are very excited for a new proper volume of Western Deep stories, and we want to make sure that we have those in-hand for next year.
In other words, expect news of a new Kickstarter campaign dropping sometime in the next few months :)

Excited for the new book volume kickstarter and hype for the eventual music! ngl, I’m hoping it’s Sigrid’s theme – BUT as she’s more or less been around for a lil bit, I doubt it’s her.

Dakkan has made Dammit my favorite swear word. :)
I mean, nice save and all, but that’s still a cuss. You won’t lose your PG-13 rating if you do it a second time, but it’s still cussing. You cussed, there, is what you did. Just saying.
I believe that this batier has already been crossed several times a long time ago.
Should have had him say “DAMMITCH!!!” instead.

Where is the page?
I’ve been frantically scanning the blacked-out character name since no updates means going back to read everything again, and based on the shape of the scribbles, it might be:
Txxxxx
The first letter is definitely a tall capital, and the rest are shorter, about 5 based on the width of the letters in “Theme”
So it might be “Tamian Theme”
However, the scribble goes under the line of the name, which means some letters probably hang down (p, q, g).
Or they just made it a completely random name to throw us off.
