Phew! It’s a good thing ermehn are incredibly flexible noodly things, or else that fall looks like it might’ve hurt! Yurk seems no worse for wear, but Cain’s still got his whole “hit my head really hard on the ground when I fell from the ceiling” thing going on. Huge props to Jerome for how he captured all the wonderful physical movement and facial expressions in this page, and props to Rachel for the positively Watterson-esque portrayals of yelling, screaming, and sound effects!

I wanted to take a brief moment to thank everybody who voted for Beyond the Western Deep in this year’s Ringo Awards. Sadly we were not nominated for any awards this go around, but we’ll give it another go around next year :)

For guest art this week, we’ve got a great piece from Jerijune of another ermehn we haven’t seen in action in a little while!

Hardin’s looking a little angrier these days, isn’t he? I suppose that makes sense. Guy’s under a lot of pressure, he’s managing a lot of conflicting personalities in his tribe, and also an entire kingdom definitely wants him to be very dead, and are no doubt going out of their way right this very moment to ensure that’s a thing.

Thank you so much for the great artwork, Jeri! I love the facial expression work here, and the little details like the fur tuft on his head flopping down from the rain. Always love seeing Western Deep art from you!

Next week I’m going to be at PAX helping the ArenaNet team at our event at the Moore Theater. As I mentioned last week, even if you can’t make it, we’ll be streaming it via a number of different services. You can watch it on TWITCH, YOUTUBE or FACEBOOK.

Because I’ll be helping out with the event all day (and likely helping some friends at the show afterwards), we won’t be posting up a page next week. Hopefully there will be some fun Guild Wars 2 related stuff to share, and maybe some cool Western Deep-related artwork as well to tide you all over until the week after :)
